Atlas to adhere to SIIA captive management guidelines

Captive management firm Atlas Insurance Management has announced it will adhere to the Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA)’s new Captive Manager Code of Conduct.

SIIA released the code, which is designed to provide captive managers with ethical business conduct guidance, on 22 January.

It was developed by a diverse group of industry participants to help produce a set of ethical benchmarks that can be used to inform consumers, policymakers and regulators on how to evaluate captive manager business practices, and the captive industry in general.

Atlas chairman Martin Eveleigh has signed a written pledge adhering Atlas to the new code.

Eveleigh commented: “This new Code of Conduct is a mark of responsibility for all SIIA members.”

“Atlas is committed to upholding the Code as a way of setting accountability for all our peers in the captive industry.”

“Atlas has always held itself to a higher standard; and by implementing this new code, we hope to continue offering quality service to our clients.”
