CICA announces 2019 conference keynote speaker

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has announced leadership expert and author Cindy Solomon as the keynote speaker for its 2019 conference.

The 2019 CICA conference, which has the central theme ‘captives: shaping the future’, is scheduled to take place between the 10 and 12 of March at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona.

This year’s conference schedule offers 34 sessions, covering topics including blockchain, future leaders, best practices, and globalisation.

For more than 20 years, Solomon has been a specialist in delivering provocative and game-changing strategies to create exceptional leaders, with experience helping Fortune 1000 companies around the world.

Dan Towle, president of CICA, said the association was drawn to “Solomon’s focus on creating a culture of courage and providing actionable advice on next generation leadership, so we can be ready to shape the future”.

He added: “We all face the daily struggle of dealing with today’s challenges while trying to be ready for what’s coming in the future.”

Brian Johnson, president and consulting actuary at Risk International Actuarial Consulting, commented: “Change is coming faster every day and we’re pleased to be a part of helping the captive industry accelerate its ability to shape the future by sponsoring Cindy Solomon’s keynote at the CICA Conference.”
