Alera Group acquires Ohio-based EB company

Alera Group has acquired Ohio-based employee benefits (EB) company Bailey & Company Benefits Group.

The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Bailey & Company specialises in providing a wide range of EB programmes for its clients, which range from mid-sized privately held businesses publicly traded companies.

The company also has significant expertise in private exchanges, partially self-funded benefit plans and captive-based reinsurance programmes.

Alan Levitz, CEO of Alera Group, said he was excited to welcome Bailey & Company to the group and added that managing partner Grant Bailey and his team would bring “significant expertise to our national platform”.
