Crum & Forster launch A&H captive facility in Cayman

Crum & Forster’s accident and health division has launched a Cayman Islands-based captive facility.

Crum & Forster SPC is the only A.M. Best A-rated accident and health segregated portfolio company captive in the market.

The captive will provide Crum & Forster with the ability to issue offshore insurance policies and to facilitate reinsurance transactions for various clients including but not limited to policyholders, agents, managing general underwriters.

Gary McGeddy, president of Crum & Forster’s accident and health division, said the company were “very excited” about the launch.

He commented: “We view it as a real opportunity to grow our business in the offshore insurance and alternative risk transfer market over the next several years and beyond.”

“It will increase our competitive edge and provide unique risk solutions for existing clients and new partnerships."
