Captive industry prepares to gather in North Carolina

The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) is ready to kick off its third annual event on 21 August, with more than 200 delegates expected to attend.

Delegates can expect to hear about a range of topic including reinsurance for captives, re-domestications, captive feasibility analysis, medical stop-loss and emerging risks.

NCCIA board chair Jeremy Colombik will also address delegates to discuss how they can maximise the benefits of owning their own insurance companies.

Colombik, who also serves as president of Management Services International, said: “As the chairman of the NCCIA, it is not only my pleasure, but also an honour to be speaking at the annual conference. Captive insurance, in my opinion, is a great business solution if it is done for the right purpose.”

He added: “Business owners do not need to be Fortune 500 companies to participate in this solution. A business owner could participate if they have gross revenues of one million or more per year depending on the captive programme.”

Thomas Adams, president and CEO of the NCCIA, commented: “Jeremy Colombik is providing bold, imaginative leadership to the association which has not only increased membership but added to the value proposition that membership brings to the captive industry.”
