The Bahamas offers Associate in Captive Insurance scholarships

The Bahamas Financial Services Board and the jurisdiction’s insurance commission are partnering up to provide two full scholarships for the Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation offered by the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.

The 2017 scholarship will be awarded to facilitate enrolment in the ACI programme for October.

The initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with the Bahamas Insurance Association and the Insurance Institute of The Bahamas, which will also participate in the evaluation process for selecting scholarship recipients.

Recipients should be interested in the captive sector and intend to work in or assist the industry. “While there is no means test involved in consideration,” the Bahamas Financial Services Board said, “senior executives will not be considered for the scholarship.”

Applications can be obtained via info@bfsb-bahamas.com (copy sdean@bfsb-bahamas.com). The deadline for applications is 25 August.
