AXA Poland targets growth in employee benefits market

AXA Poland is set to capitalise on strong growth opportunities in the Polish market in a bid to expand its employee benefits business.

Maxis Global Benefits Network (GBN), a network co-founded by MetLife and AXA in 1998, will support AXA providing the company with a range of solutions, market knowledge and expertise in pooling and global programmes, including approaches to pricing and data management, to help seize opportunities for growth.

In addition, AXA will hire three experienced insurance professionals to assist with the expansion.

AXA Group, who entered the Polish market in 2006, has continued to grow its market share across more than 10 business lines, including employee benefits.

As of 1 January this year, AXA Poland had an approximate 2 percent share of the domestic employee benefits market.

Konrad Zakrzewski, head of group insurance department at AXA Poland, said: “For the last few years, we have created growth in group insurance through the delivery of new products, the development of sales networks and a well targeted value proposition for business partners.”

“This year, we believe the time is right to expand our employee benefits business for multinational clients and further build cooperation with international brokers. In addition to appointing a new team and recruiting experienced individuals, we have developed the products and processes that international corporations require from their insurers. We are confident that this business line will develop and AXA Poland, as a Maxis GBN member, will become the biggest player on the Polish market.”

Andrew Stocker, head of business development at Maxis GBN, added: “At Maxis GBN, we understand the importance of employee benefits to our member insurance firms and how such benefits can be a major differentiator for their clients. We continue to witness strong demand from multinational employers, for employee benefit solutions for in Poland.”
