Berkley Accident and Health has named Jim Hoitt as senior vice president of its captive business and appointed Lee Davidson as senior vice president of its stop-loss business.
Hoitt, who previously served as vice president of sales, will now lead the sales, underwriting and account management for the company’s medical stop-loss group captive solution.
Davidson, formerly senior vice president of product management and development, will be responsible for sales, underwriting, and account management for traditional stop-loss distributed through regional producers.
In addition, Scott Byrne, Jeff Kandzer, and Shawn Lanter have all been promoted to the position of vice president of business development, reporting to Hoitt.
According to Berkley Accident and Health, the changes have been made to better align its medical stop-loss and group captive operations with external customers and market needs.
Christopher Brown, president and CEO of Berkley Accident and Health, said: “These changes align our internal operations with external markets, giving each business segment a clear line of sight directly to customers and their needs. It also positions us well for continued growth. Each business segment can now adapt to changing market needs with greater speed and flexibility.”
