Marsh recruits Liz Flynn

Marsh has appointed Liz Flynn president of its insurance services businesses. The newly created position will be based in New York.

Flynn will report to Peter Zaffino, president and CEO of Marsh, whilst retaining her current responsibilities as president and CEO of US consumer.

In a recent statement Zaffino said: “I am excited to have someone with Liz’s skill set and proven leadership capabilities at the helm of several important businesses. As head of our US consumer business for the past year, Liz established a strategy to reinvigorate growth while also focusing on improving operations and information technology. I know she will apply the same rigorous approach to her expanded responsibilities.”

Commenting on her appointment Flynn added: “Each of the businesses in this new group has market-leading capabilities that add tremendous value to our clients in a world of increasing risk and volatility. I look forward to collaborating with the existing leaders of these business units to continue to meet our clients’ changing needs.”

Flynn joined Marsh in 2011, previously working for Guy Carpenter, where she was global chief operating officer.
