Towers Watson has named Brendan Osean vice president, property insurance, in its insurance brokerage business.

In his role, Osean will be responsible for overseeing the design and placement of commercial property insurance programs for a wide range of U.S. and international companies, as well as those firms that maintain U.S., Bermuda and European captives. He is based in Towers Watson's Parsippany, N.J., office.

"We are delighted that Brendan has joined our team, as he brings a keen knowledge of the commercial property insurance market," said Steve Levene, leader of Towers Watson's insurance brokerage business. "The addition of Brendan underscores our commitment to the insurance brokerage business and also reflects the increase in demand from clients for the breadth and depth of our offerings in this important space."

Osean comes to Towers Watson from Wells Fargo Insurance Services (WFIS), where, as New York property practice leader, he led the marketing, placement and servicing of commercial insurance for a number of firms, including several Fortune 500 companies.
