The South Carolina Department of Insurance promotes Hinal Patel to chief financial analyst for its traditional division, with effect from October. Patel describes the role as leading and overseeing the financial analysis function for traditional insurance companies regulated by the department, with a focus on financial solvency and regulatory compliance. Patel was supervising financial analyst at the department from November 2025 and senior financial analyst from March 2024. Before that Patel spent a year as an account manager at Marsh McLennan, having previously worked at the department as a business plan analyst in its captive insurance division and, before that, as a financial analyst in the traditional insurance division from October 2020. Earlier roles include accountant at NHE, data analyst at the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and account specialist at PwC.
