Hylant hires Samson as senior captive account manager

Hylant Global Captive Solutions appoints Sheril Samson as senior captive account manager, a role Samson took up in September. The post sits within Hylant Consulting and is based in Mumbai on a hybrid basis. Samson joins from WTW, after more than 12 years with the broker in India. Samson was a manager at WTW from April, having previously served as assistant manager from 2023, team lead from 2019, senior specialist from 2017 and specialist from 2014. Hylant credits Samson with more than a decade of experience across insurance accounting, captive insurance, financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Samson’s own professional summary describes expertise in accounting, legal entity controllership and group-level financial management across international markets, alongside statutory compliance and leading a team of chartered accountants. Hylant Global Captive Solutions provides captive consulting and management, running feasibility studies, implementation work covering business plans, policy drafting, service provider selection and domicile regulator engagement, and ongoing captive management across board meetings, renewals, underwriting and corporate administration. The team also advises on programme design and on captive exit through commutations, novations, sale of the captive and reinsurance, and works on group captives, single-parent captives and cell facilities. The team is led by Anne Marie Towle, who joined Hylant in 2019 and leads its global captive solutions business. Hylant was founded in 1935 by Edward P. Hylant in Toledo, Ohio, and describes itself as family owned. Fourth-generation family members hold senior roles in the business.
