The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) invites the captive insurance community to take part in its annual benchmarking survey, which is open until 30 September. The survey is a joint effort between the association, the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation and the Vermont Department of Economic Development, and is designed to gather views on the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the captive industry. The association says responses will help it enhance member value, focus its advocacy priorities and strengthen its education programming. The Department of Financial Regulation aims to better understand how Vermont’s regulatory environment is experienced by captive owners and service providers, while the Department of Economic Development will use the findings to assess the state’s competitive position, economic impact and workforce needs. All responses are anonymised and remain confidential. VCIA administers the survey independently and reports results only in aggregate, which it says encourages candid feedback. Names and email addresses are collected only at the end of the survey, for a draw offering one complimentary full conference registration for the 2027 VCIA Annual Conference. The association estimates completion takes 15 to 20 minutes, varying by respondent type.
