Marsh appoints Christos Adamantiadis as president and global head of placement and market solutions at Marsh Risk, effective 1 November. Adamantiadis leads the division’s global placement and market solutions strategy in the newly created role, working with regional leaders and insurers to accelerate product innovation and to design, structure and place insurance programmes across markets, industries and client segments. He reports to Nick Studer, chief executive officer of Marsh Risk. He is currently chief executive officer of Marsh Europe and president of Marsh Risk Europe. He joined the firm in 2018 as chief executive officer of Marsh Risk’s Middle East and Africa region and was named chief executive officer of its Continental Europe region in 2023 before being promoted to his current position. Before joining Marsh, Adamantiadis was chief executive officer of Oman Insurance Company in the United Arab Emirates for three years. He spent 20 years at AIG in country and regional management roles. John Donnelly, president of global placement, retires from the company early next year after a 50-year career in the industry. He continues to lead key global placement initiatives and support the transition.
