Marsh appoints Geraghty chief executive for Europe

Marsh appoints Tom Geraghty as chief executive officer for Europe, effective 1 November. Geraghty sets the strategic direction of the firm’s Europe region, strengthening collaboration across its businesses. He is based in Dublin and reports to Flavio Piccolomini, chief executive officer of Marsh International. He succeeds Christos Adamantiadis, who has been appointed global head of placement and market solutions at Marsh Risk. Geraghty continues to serve as president of Marsh’s people and investments business in Europe, a position he has held since 2019. He has spent more than 27 years at Marsh and 33 years in professional services, with experience across consulting, investments and commercial growth. Piccolomini says: "Tom is a highly experienced leader with a strong track record of building teams, services, and solutions across diverse markets in ways that create meaningful value for clients. Under his leadership, our Europe region will be well-equipped to help clients gain greater resilience and stability as they face some of the most significant economic and geopolitical challenges of our time." Geraghty says: "I'm honoured to take on this role and help shape the next chapter for Marsh in Europe. Having spent most of my career with the business, I've seen firsthand the strength of our people and the trust our clients place in us. Building on our already strong foundations across Europe, my focus will be ensuring our clients gain the forward-looking services and solutions they need to create more opportunities for growth."
