Roundstone to hold 2027 Medical Captive Forum in Nashville

Roundstone holds its annual Medical Captive Forum (MCF) on 11 and 12 May 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee. The two-day event convenes chief executive officers, chief financial officers, human resources leaders, benefits advisers and healthcare innovators to discuss how employers can redesign health plans for greater transparency, cost control and long-term sustainability. Sessions cover plan design, captives and cost containment, delivered through success panels, roundtables and networking. The 2026 event ran three learning tracks across 18 breakout sessions, covering how the captive model works as an alternative to traditional insurance, comparisons between captive models and alternative funding options, and the role of the third-party administrator in a self-funded captive. The forum was created as an educational platform to demystify self-funded health plans and has developed into a national gathering for organisations moving beyond fully insured models towards accountable healthcare financing. Attendance is complimentary and employers are reimbursed for one night’s hotel stay. Mike Schroeder, founder and president of Roundstone, says: "Each year, MCF brings together the brightest minds in healthcare benefits, and we're excited to welcome attendees to Nashville in 2027. MCF has become a place where employers, advisors, and industry partners come together to share ideas and challenge conventional thinking. We're looking forward to another year of actionable insights that attendees can take back to their organisations." Roundstone works with small and midsize companies on health benefits and cost containment, and is based in Rocky River, Ohio.
