Marsh Re, the reinsurance broker formerly known as Guy Carpenter, appoints Laurent Rousseau as head of international, effective immediately. Rousseau leads the firm’s Asia, Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean regions in the expanded role, in addition to Europe and India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA). He continues to lead capital and advisory globally, and to report to Dean Klisura, president and chief executive officer of Marsh Re. He is based in London. He joined the firm from SCOR, where he was chief executive officer and spent 13 years in leadership roles. He began his career as an insurance equity research associate at Credit Suisse First Boston before moving to JP Morgan’s mergers and acquisitions financial institutions group in London. He brings more than 25 years of investment banking and reinsurance experience to the role.
