CapVisor Associates appoints Barry T. Livingston as managing director of business development and client relations. Livingston joins the insurance investment consultancy with more than 25 years of experience across asset management, investment consulting and financial services, covering institutional business development, consultant relations and client relationship management. He joins from Zazove Associates, where he was a director for eight months, working on plan sponsor and consultant relationships across the US. He was previously director of business development and enterprise partnerships at IRALOGIX, a retirement industry software firm, between 2023 and 2025. Livingston spent 15 years before that at Calamos Investments as senior vice president institutional, leading the firm’s institutional and retirement distribution and marketing traditional and alternative strategies including convertible and merger arbitrage, long/short equity and private credit. His focus there covered institutional, retirement and consultant channels alongside sub-advisory and insurance relationships. He began in the industry at Strong Investments in consultant relations, and later worked as a product specialist and associate portfolio manager at Wells Capital Management. Livingston is a CFA charterholder and a CAIA designee. CapVisor says it looks forward to drawing on his institutional investment and relationship management experience as it expands its service to the insurance investment marketplace.
