Sedgwick appoints Jason Rogers as managing director of carrier and captive solutions. Rogers leads the claims administration company's work across captives, insurance carriers, managing general agents and managing general underwriters in the newly created role. He also takes responsibility for the continued development and execution of Sedgwick's growth platform. He sits within the Growth Markets division and reports to Emily Fink, global chief marketing officer and president of growth markets. Rogers arrives with more than 20 years of insurance industry experience across underwriting, brokerage and programme administration. He joins from Gallagher, where he spent 12 years, most recently as executive vice president. He works across brokerage services, programme management, customer experience, business development and risk management at the broker, joining its affinity business as vice president in August 2014. Before that, Rogers spent five years at Zurich Insurance, ending as a vice president responsible for a portfolio of financial institution risks including insurance companies, broker-dealers, real estate investment trusts and asset managers. He begins his career at The Hartford as an executive underwriter, covering directors and officers liability and professional liability for publicly traded companies and real estate investment trusts. Fink says: "Jason brings deep expertise and a unique combination of knowledge that will have an immediate impact for Sedgwick. This area has been, and continues to be, an important area of growth for our organisation. His appointment reinforces our commitment to the market, strengthens our ability to deliver tailored solutions, and positions us for continued long-term growth." Rogers says: "This role and practice group reflect significant opportunities ahead for Sedgwick. Our continued investments in our colleagues, technology, artificial intelligence and advanced claims solutions create meaningful differentiation in the marketplace. I look forward to working with our existing clients and building relationships with prospective customers."
