McPherson joins Complete Captive Management Services as vice president of captive strategies

Complete Captive Management Services (CCMS) appoints Ericka McPherson as vice president of captive strategies. McPherson focuses on expanding captive strategies that help self-funded employers take greater control of healthcare costs, working with brokers, consultants and strategic partners across the US. McPherson says: “In my new role, I will be focused on expanding innovative captive strategies that help self-funded employers take greater control of healthcare costs through collaboration, shared-risk models, data-driven decision-making, and innovative cost-containment strategies.” McPherson joins from Covenant Choice, a stop-loss group captive that reinsures the stop-loss policies of multiple companies while members retain control over health benefit plan design. As executive director, McPherson led captive initiatives, acted as primary sales contact and spokesperson for members and brokers, ran national sales strategy and managed the stop-loss marketing and bid process. Earlier roles include executive director of Oklahoma Families for Affordable Health Care and general counsel of Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance, where responsibilities covered the self-funded medical and retirement plans, ERISA compliance, and legislative and regulatory affairs. McPherson is also founder and principal of Ericka L McPherson PLLC and previously served as of counsel at Seddigh Arbetter. Complete Captive Management Services is a captive insurance manager registered in a number of domiciles, with expertise in establishing medical stop-loss captives for employers operating self-funded health plans.
