Miller promoted to insurance tax services managing director at Crowe

Crowe promotes Alicia Miller to managing director in the accounting and consulting firm's insurance tax services practice. Miller steps up from senior manager within the same practice. Miller acts as lead client service provider for a number of Crowe's multinational and international insurance clients, covering both US-domiciled and internationally domiciled insurance companies. Captive experience spans single-parent captives, association captives, risk retention groups, cell companies, risk pools and reciprocal insurers, alongside commercial property and casualty carriers, life insurers and accident and health insurers. The role includes overseeing the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, preparing tax-related compliance for GAAP and SSAP 101 reporting, and carrying out research and consulting on federal and state insurance issues. Specialisms include self-procurement taxes under the Nonadmitted and Reinsurance Reform Act (NRRA), redomestications, cross-border transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Miller previously held insurance tax manager and insurance tax services senior manager roles at Crowe, having joined the firm as a senior tax accountant. Before Crowe, Miller was a senior tax accountant at Saslow Lufkin & Buggy. Commenting on the promotion, Miller says: “I am honoured to take on this new role and look forward to continuing to serve our clients, supporting our team, and contributing to the continued growth of Crowe's Insurance Tax Services practice.”
