Johnson Lambert launches Financial & Operations Advisory practice

Johnson Lambert launches a Financial & Operations Advisory (FOA) practice, extending the accounting and advisory firm's capabilities across finance operations, regulatory compliance, reporting, transactions, system implementations and organisational change. The practice launches with a primary focus on the insurance industry, where Johnson Lambert has more than 40 years of experience working with commercial carriers, captive insurance companies, risk retention groups, managing general agents and specialty insurance organisations. FOA services also extend to not-for-profit organisations and employee benefit plans. The practice covers six areas: strategic and CFO advisory; financial operations and reporting; governance, risk and regulatory; systems, process and data transformation; transaction advisory services; and reinsurance accounting automation. Support spans succession planning, budgeting and board reporting, statutory and GAAP reporting, audit preparation, regulatory filings and internal audit needs, process redesign and change management, due diligence and integration planning, and the reduction of manual effort in reinsurance accounting. Brandon Veler, principal, leads the practice, bringing close to 20 years of experience advising organisations on financial, operational and regulatory matters, with particular depth in financial operations and statutory reporting, reinsurance accounting and regulatory examinations. Veler says: “The insurance organisations we work with are navigating real operational pressure points. These are the moments where insurance organisations need experienced professionals who can step in and move critical work forward without pulling their teams away from the work already on their plate.” Brandy Vannoy, managing partner, adds: “Launching our Financial & Operations Advisory practice is a natural evolution for Johnson Lambert. By blending our deeply rooted, niche insurance accounting knowledge with dedicated advisory capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to step in and help organisations alleviate these internal pressures.”
