SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group appoints Richard Houston as a consulting actuary, effective July 2026. Houston brings more than 15 years of experience across warranty and traditional commercial lines, spanning actuarial functions including data manipulation, reserving, ratemaking and retention analysis. He joins from Cat Financial, where he spent 20 years, most recently as chief actuary from 2024. He had progressed through the firm's actuarial team, holding roles including actuarial manager, senior actuary, actuary and associate actuary, having begun his career there in accounting. SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group provides actuarial services to clients including brokers, risk managers, CFOs, auditors, captive managers, public entities, self-insured groups and insurance carriers.
