WTW appoints Barry Perkins as managing director, integrated and global solutions, based in London. Perkins takes up the role in June 2026. WTW says the appointment reflects its focus on building its captive and global benefits team. In the position, Perkins supports client and strategic initiatives, helping organisations address their global benefits and risk management priorities. He brings experience in global employee benefits, including benefits financing, captives and multinational programmes. Perkins joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits, where he was a global benefits consultant at MMB Multinational, the global employee benefits and technology business of Mercer Marsh Benefits. In that role he led a team advising clients on financing employee benefit risks through global programmes and captives, and led a global mobility solutions team arranging international private medical and group risk insurance for internationally mobile employees and expatriates. At MMB Multinational, Perkins served as partner and financing and global mobility solutions leader from April 2021. He earlier held roles at the firm including placement leader for global benefits and captive and global insurance solutions leader. Before that, Perkins was regional director for the UK at Allianz Global Benefits, part of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, and head of account and tender management at Allianz Global Benefits at Allianz Group. His earlier career includes roles at Towers Watson, HSBC, Munich Re and Canada Life. Perkins moves into a firm with an established captive practice. WTW's benefit captive solutions team advises multinational organisations on financing employee benefits and pension risks through captive insurance companies, spanning feasibility and strategy, implementation and ongoing optimisation. WTW says it convenes an annual forum, the Captive User Group, for organisations using captives for employee benefits.
