Generali unveils Redion as new brand for global Care platform

Generali Group reveals Redion, a new brand uniting Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) under a single identity. The platform reports €5.8 billion in annual business volume, more than 12,000 employees and operations in more than 190 countries. Redion is positioned as the world's largest employee benefits network through GEB, following the acquisition of Swiss Life Network earlier in 2026, and the world's second largest provider of assistance and travel insurance through Europ Assistance. The two businesses have operated as an integrated entity within Generali Care for nearly three years. Established in 1966, GEB is the global platform dedicated to the human capital of multinational corporations, delivering employee protection that spans life, disability, accident and medical cover, alongside health solutions for multinational employers. Europ Assistance, which Generali credits as the creator of the global assistance industry more than 60 years ago, contributes services in travel insurance, emergency and medical assistance, roadside assistance and personal services. Antoine Parisi, current CEO of Generali CARE Hub, leads Redion as group CEO. Jean-Laurent Granier, CEO of Generali France & Global Business Activities, takes the role of chairman. Under the new brand, the two businesses are unified under a single data strategy, with pooled artificial intelligence investment and a common standard across technology and operations. Existing clients and partners face no contractual disruption. Contracts, service teams, phone numbers and service level agreements remain unchanged. Giulio Terzariol, group deputy CEO of Generali, says the brand is aligned with the group's 'Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence' strategy and its ambition to lead in protection, health and accident. He says: "Redion is the expression of what Generali Care has already become: a global, integrated platform, purpose-built to deliver comprehensive Care across every dimension of people's lives." Granier, who in addition to chairing Redion serves as a network partner through GEB and a client on the assistance side, says the reality of the organisation has been ahead of the brand carrying it. "Today we simply give it the brand it deserves," he says. Technology, data and AI sit at the centre of the platform's development, with the stated objective of improving the speed and quality of services while delivering more personalised customer experiences. Generali stresses that AI is intended to support rather than replace human decision-making in critical situations such as medical repatriation or workplace injury. Parisi says: "The Redion name carries no geographic or sectoral ceiling. But what I want people to understand is that behind the technology stands a network of tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, roadside technicians and local experts who show up in person when it matters most." The platform serves multinational corporations, global travel companies, financial institutions and their end-customers, with offerings including global B2B2C programmes and embedded insurance. Generali Group reported total premium income of €98.1 billion and €900 billion in assets under management in 2025.
