IMAC, CIRCA and CIIA to host Cayman NextGen Insurance Forum

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) hosts the Cayman NextGen Insurance Forum on 28 May 2026, introducing school leavers, university students and early-career Caymanians to career pathways across the insurance and reinsurance industry. The event takes place at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on Seven Mile Beach from 2pm to 5pm local time, and is run in partnership with the Cayman International Reinsurance Companies Association (CIRCA) and the Cayman Islands Insurance Association (CIIA). The forum features a short introduction to the industry, a panel of young professionals sharing their experiences, and a Career Insights Hub where attendees can speak directly with industry professionals about a range of career paths. Sessions cover accounting, audit and tax, banking and investments, brokerage, compliance and regulation. IMAC says the event provides "an opportunity to learn about the range of roles available across the sector and engage directly with industry professionals working within one of Cayman's key financial services industries". The Cayman Islands has positioned itself as a leading jurisdiction for international insurance business spanning captives, reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS). The territory is the number one domicile worldwide for healthcare captives and has developed into a centre of excellence for reinsurance and ILS operations. IMAC represents insurance managers, captive insurance companies and service providers in the Cayman Islands, acting as a link between the industry, government and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). CIRCA is the industry group for commercial reinsurers in the jurisdiction. CIIA, formed in 2004, represents the broader insurance industry on the island and works with CIMA on regulatory and conduct matters. Free registration for the forum is open via IMAC.
