Aon Luxembourg appoints Louis Wermelinger as a captive and insurance manager. In his role as an account manager, Wermelinger oversees a portfolio of reinsurance captives, managing both operational and strategic functions. His responsibilities include the preparation and leadership of board of directors meetings, the coordination of audits, and the supervision of accounting and financial reporting. Wermelinger also manages relationships with key stakeholders, including insurance companies, service providers, and regulators. Furthermore, he is involved in compliance matters and Solvency II requirements. Prior to his appointment at Aon, Wermelinger spent over two years at KPMG Luxembourg. Most recently, he served as a senior auditor within the firm’s ESG practice. During his time at KPMG, he also held roles as a senior financial auditor and an assistant in audit, focusing on the commercial, industrial, and public sectors. Wermelinger’s professional background also includes an audit internship at EQUATION SQA, an audit firm based in Paris. He is a graduate of KEDGE Business School, where he completed the Grande École Programme with a focus on audit and expertise.
