Old Republic refreshes brand to strengthen collective identity

Old Republic International Corporation has unveiled a brand refresh designed to highlight the specialty expertise and collective strength of its operating companies, introducing a modernised corporate logo and an expanded visual system to improve consistency with customers and distribution partners. The Chicago-based insurer, which trades on the NYSE under the ticker ORI, says the updated branding is now live at oldrepublic.com and reflects the breadth of its operating companies and the specialist capabilities each brings to its respective market. As part of the refresh, several operating companies are adopting new names that retain their individual identities while making their connection to the wider Old Republic group more explicit. PMA Companies becomes Old Republic Commercial Risk; BITCO Insurance Companies is renamed Old Republic Bitco; and Great West Casualty Company will trade as Great West, An Old Republic Company. Old Republic Specialty Insurance Underwriters transitions to Old Republic Alternative Markets, a change likely to be of interest to readers in the alternative and specialty risk space. Old Republic Home Protection becomes Old Republic Home Warranty, and Old Republic Insured Automotive Services is renamed Old Republic Auto Warranty. Implementation will continue throughout 2026, covering marketing materials, digital properties, signage, business correspondence, and certain legal entity names. The company confirms that none of the changes affect the insurance companies listed on existing policies, which retain their current names. The refreshed brand is set to make its public debut at RISKWORLD, the annual conference sponsored by RIMS, running from 3 to 6 May in Philadelphia. Old Republic says it will use the event, and the broader 2026 rollout, to highlight its collection of specialty operating companies brought together under a common brand identity. Founded in 1923 and a Fortune 500 member, Old Republic describes itself as a leading specialty insurer operating across property and casualty and title insurance, providing underwriting and risk management services to business partners across the United States and Canada. The brand refresh does not represent a structural or operational change to the group's decentralised model.
