David Gibbons is appointed as the incoming CEO of the network of PwC firms operating in the Caribbean, effective 1 July 2026. Born and raised in Barbados, Gibbons has been with the firm for 21 years, 12 of which he served as a partner. Based in Bermuda, he brings a deep regional perspective to the leadership role and is a recognised expert on regional and global insurance trends. For the past seven years, Gibbons has served as human capital leader on the region’s core leadership team. He also held the position of assurance leader for PwC Bermuda for the last five years. In these roles, he helped shape regional strategy and drove initiatives to spark market growth. Gibbons is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and a Chartered Professional Accountant in both Bermuda and Nova Scotia. Frazer Lindsay, current CEO of the network of PwC firms operating in the Caribbean, comments: “David is the right leader for this moment. He brings a sharp vision and a deep understanding of our markets and clients. I look forward to working with him over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition. I am confident that under his guidance, our regional network will continue to grow and bring the very best to our clients.” In his upcoming role, Gibbons intends to focus on growth by prioritising stakeholder relationships, people and technology. Gibbons says: “It’s a tremendous honour to serve as the next CEO, especially as we stand at a pivotal moment for professional services regionally and globally. With geopolitical tensions, evolving economies and the impact of AI, our clients are navigating tremendous change. I am confident that the network of PwC firms operating in the Caribbean has the right blend of people, capabilities and technology to assist our regional clients to seize opportunities within these challenges. I look forward to building on our strong foundation to help all our clients stay at the leading edge.” Arthur Wightman, territory leader at PwC, adds: “I am overjoyed for you David Gibbons and am highly optimistic about our trajectory in the Caribbean. Having worked alongside you for 20 years including a decade as your office neighbour, I can say with absolute conviction that you are most suited to lead our Caribbean network firms with the integrity and purpose that sits at the heart of everything we do. Your commitment to building trust and solving problems that truly matter will inspire our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.”
