Davies integrates AI into corporate risk claims intake

Davies announces the deployment of its artificial intelligence (AI) powered claim intake agent to corporate risk claims, marking an expansion of its ClaimPilot product suite. The generative AI (GenAI) powered agent streamlines the initial stage of the corporate risk claims journey by gathering and processing information from multiple sources. The information is then integrated into the firm's claims management system before being handed to a claims handler. According to the firm, the technology enables a reduction of more than 80 per cent in claims intake process times. The agent uses a source-flexible extraction model to capture information from any format, including insurer-mandated templates, bespoke forms, and handwritten documents. Davies notes that this eliminates manual rekeying and provides a more consistent experience for clients. The solution also includes an intelligent ‘human in the loop’ safeguard. If the AI agent is unable to confidently extract the required information, the case is automatically handed to an expert. Dan Saulter, Group CEO of Davies, says: “The expansion of our GenAI claim intake agent to our corporate risk clients is a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering innovative, technology-led solutions that deliver tangible results for our clients.” Saulter adds: “By automating the labour-intensive claims intake process, we are not only increasing efficiency and accuracy but also providing our claims handlers with the time they need to focus on providing the high-quality, expert service our clients expect.” Davies is a specialist professional services and technology firm serving the insurance and highly regulated markets. Under the leadership of Saulter, who joined in 2013, the group has closed more than 40 acquisitions and launched its Disruptive Thinking innovation lab to develop new technologies and solutions.
