Antunes joins Generali GC&C as head of client and broker relations

Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) appoints Nuno Antunes as head of client and broker relationship management (C&BRM), effective 1 July. Antunes joins the organisation on 20 April to begin a planned leadership transition. He succeeds Filippo Cinelli, who will retire on 30 June following a decade leading the function and a distinguished career with the firm. In his new capacity, Antunes will lead the global C&BRM strategy. His mandate includes deepening relationships with clients and brokers worldwide and advancing distribution excellence as a core driver of the group’s competitive strength. The appointment is a key component of GC&C’s Next Level Plan 2025-27, which prioritises customer centricity, trusted partnerships, and sustainable growth. Commenting on the transition, Christian Kanu, CEO of GC&C, says: “We are pleased to welcome Nuno Antunes to our team. His extensive international experience and proven track record in driving growth and client-centricity align perfectly with our strategic goals. I am confident that Nuno will play a key role in further strengthening our market position and delivering exceptional value to our partners and customers.” Kanu adds: “I would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Filippo Cinelli for his outstanding contribution to GC&C over the years. Under his leadership, the C&BRM function has become a core pillar of our organisation, and we wish him the very best in his retirement.” GC&C provides insurance solutions and services to medium-large companies in more than 180 countries. Its alternative risk transfer offering includes captive solutions, parametric insurance, and capital solutions. In 2025, the firm reported total earned premiums of €3.1 billion.
