Maxis GBN appoints McCarthy as regional manager for US East Zone

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) appoints Brian McCarthy as regional manager for the US East Zone within its global business development team. In his new role, McCarthy is responsible for outbound business development across the eastern US. He will also lead the existing regional business development team, ensuring that clients, network members and intermediaries in the region receive the best possible service. McCarthy joins MAXIS GBN from IGP (International Group Program), where he served as assistant vice president of business development for 14 years. Having spent more than two decades at the company in total, he brings extensive experience in global benefits and captive reinsurance to the position, specifically in product development, client strategy, business planning and goal setting. Commenting on his appointment, McCarthy says: “I’m delighted to have joined MAXIS and look forward to using my expertise to lead the impressive regional Business Development team to new heights. I’m eager to get started and build strong relationships with our clients and partners to ensure they receive the best possible service from us.” Larry Howley, regional director for the Americas at MAXIS GBN, adds: “I’m pleased to welcome Brian to the MAXIS team. He has extensive experience in global employee benefits from his 20 years in the industry and I’m confident he will lead our regional team to continued success.” Co-founded by MetLife and AXA in 1998, MAXIS GBN partners with more than 300 multinational clients to deliver employee benefits risk management services and solutions. The network’s local insurers operate in over 100 markets globally, covering nearly seven million employees worldwide.
