Christie to co-lead EY Americas captive insurance advisory practice

Andrew Christie is appointed as co-leader of EY’s captive insurance advisory practice across the Americas. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Christie leads the practice alongside Brad Schock. The duo oversees an integrated service offering that includes captive insurance and risk consulting, tax advisory and actuarial services. The leadership update coincides with the expansion of the firm’s broader risk management offering. James Bulkowski, also of EY, is growing the organisation's presence in the innovation, risk management and transactions space. Commenting on the new role, Christie says: “We will continue to combine our insurance and tax expertise to provide a wholistic captive insurance consulting service.” Christie has been with EY for nearly four years, previously serving as a senior manager within the captive insurance practice. In that role, he project-managed consulting engagements ranging from feasibility studies to bespoke utilisation work. Prior to joining EY in 2022, Christie spent nearly 12 years at Marsh in the Cayman Islands. During his tenure at Marsh, he held the position of vice president, specialising in captive insurance company feasibility and utilisation studies, including programme design and financial projection analysis. His earlier professional background includes accounting and auditing positions at HSBC in London, ScottishPower in Glasgow and PwC.
