Guy Carpenter has appointed James Donnelly as senior vice president within its life, accident and health reinsurance brokerage team. Based in New York, Donnelly returns to the firm after previously serving as vice president between September 2021 and May 2022. He joins from Lockton Re, where he most recently held the role of senior broker for nearly four years. Donnelly began his career in underwriting, serving as an employer stop loss underwriter at IHC Risk Solutions and a trade credit underwriter at Euler Hermes. He later transitioned into brokerage, spending three years at Aon as an associate director before his first tenure at Guy Carpenter.
