FERMA, the Federation of European Risk Management Associations, and Brokerslink complete their second five-day rimap risk management certification preparatory course, aimed at promoting excellence in risk management across the global broking network. FERMA is the representative organisation for the risk management profession at a European level, bringing together 23 national risk management associations in 22 European countries and representing more than 6,000 professional risk managers. The preparatory course is provided exclusively for members of Brokerslink, a global broking company that manages a worldwide network of independent insurance brokers. The Brokerslink network comprises more than 45,000 risk and broking professionals across 134 countries. The programme prepares participants for the rimap certification process by providing a comprehensive framework for the principles of enterprise-wide risk management and the practical application of standards. The curriculum includes virtual training sessions and two on-site workshops, which were held as part of Brokerslink’s 2026 Europe Forum in Porto. Philippe Cotelle, president of FERMA, says: “FERMA is proud to announce the completion of its second course with Brokerslink, reinforcing our commitment to advancing risk management professionalism across Europe. By broadening access to rimap certification, we enable professionals to gain recognised expertise, independent validation of their competencies, and stronger career prospects.” The rimap programme is the first European-wide professional designation for risk managers and provides an independent confirmation of professional competences and experience. It is recognised by the national risk management associations that form the FERMA network. The initiative follows the first training session held in Budapest last year and reflects the ongoing partnership between the two organisations to raise standards and strengthen risk management expertise across the industry.
