Xitus selects INTX Insurance Software (INTX) as its core insurance operating system to support and scale its global legacy and captive insurance operations. The Austin-based software provider will support Xitus across its subsidiaries, including Xitus Bermuda, Xitus UK, and Xitus Europe. The partnership also extends to the firm’s latest acquisition of Insco, a captive previously owned by Chevron. Xitus, a specialist in the discontinued insurance market, will utilise the platform to manage run-off, loss portfolio transfers (LPT), and insurance business transfers (IBT). Unlike general-purpose systems, the INTX platform is designed for the specific operational realities of the legacy sector, offering capital visibility across long-tail portfolios and predictive AI actuarial modelling. For the captive insurance market, the deal highlights the increasing reliance on modern technology to manage complex legacy liabilities. Xitus aims to use the platform to bring structure to historically manual processes, enabling faster execution of acquisitions and enhanced portfolio monitoring. Benjamin Dovey, head of commercial and operations at Xitus, says: “As an early adopter, we are growing the relationship with INTX because the platform gives us the control to manage our business at scale and as our transaction volume and geographic footprint expand, INTX is the core system we can rely on to operate with confidence and control.” Dovey adds: “INTX brings structure to historically fragmented and manual processes and gives our team confidence to move quickly as we take on more transactions.” Rob Lewis, CEO of INTX Insurance Software, says: “Runoff and captive portfolios demand a level of financial control and the ability to utilise Predictive AI Actuarial modelling that legacy systems were never designed to deliver. INTX gives organisations like Xitus real-time visibility and governance across complex, multi-entity portfolios as they scale globally.” Lewis notes that the platform provides leadership with real-time visibility into reinsurance and claims activity, which generates clean data for predictive AI models and regulatory oversight.
