Ryan Hunt joins Captive Resources, LLC as assistant vice president (AVP) of finance. Based in Itasca, Illinois, Hunt brings more than four years of professional assurance and accounting experience to the role. She joins the captive consulting firm from EY, where she most recently served as an assurance senior. During her tenure at EY, Hunt also held the position of assurance staff and previously completed a regional assurance internship with the firm in Chicago. Her experience also includes serving as a teaching assistant at The University of Kansas. This appointment marks a return to Captive Resources for Hunt, who served as a captive finance intern with the company in 2019. Captive Resources provides advisory services to more than 50 casualty and medical stop-loss group captives. These captives comprise over 7,500 member companies and represent US$5.5 billion in annual premium. The company supports various aspects of captive operations, including claims advocacy, operational oversight, risk management, financial services, regulatory compliance, and investment services. It also operates two wholly owned subsidiaries: Kensington Management Group, a full-service captive management firm, and Edgewater Actuarial Insights, an independent actuarial and management consulting firm.
