Asta launches financial lines MGA Verde Risk Management

Asta, a specialist underwriting platform provider, announces the launch of managing general agent (MGA) Verde Risk Management Limited (Verde). The London-based MGA received regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in December 2025. Verde specialises in the financial lines market, focusing on commercial crime, management liability and financial institutions. The firm targets clients domiciled in the UK, Europe and internationally. Operating as an appointed representative of Asta Underwriting Management Ltd (AUML), Verde receives operational, professional and regulatory support services. The business also plans to access European markets through Asta’s Brussels-based platform as part of its expansion strategy. The MGA is led by directors James Pallett and James Reynolds, both of whom possess extensive experience in financial lines. Emma Plush, director of MGA and broker solutions at Asta, says: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Verde and to be working with the Verde team. This marks an exciting development for the financial lines market, as Verde brings fresh expertise and a commitment to addressing gaps in coverage. “Their approach will create opportunities for new products and growth, helping to shape a more dynamic and responsive market.” James Reynolds, director at Verde, adds: “James and I are thrilled to see the launch of Verde with support from Asta. Our aim is to create solutions that offer greater choice and innovation for customers in the markets we operate in. “Utilising the support from Asta allows Verde to provide exceptional service to the brokers that we deal with. We look forward to supporting clients with products that meet their evolving needs.” The launch aligns with the ‘Vision 2030’ strategy of Davies, Asta’s parent company, which focuses on innovation and market diversification.
