Reddington joins Offit Kurman as principal

Offit Kurman appoints Matt Reddington as a principal in the firm’s tax controversy and litigation practice. Based in Texas, Reddington focuses on defending clients in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state taxing authorities. Reddington brings extensive experience in navigating high-stakes tax matters, with a particular emphasis on captive insurance arrangements. His expertise also covers research and development tax credits, accounting method changes, fraud allegations and real estate issues. Commenting on the move, Reddington says: “This move marks an exciting new chapter in my practice, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue advising and defending clients at the highest level alongside an outstanding team.” He joins the AmLaw 200 firm from Zerbe, Miller, Fingeret, Frank & Jadav, LLP, where he spent more than seven years, most recently serving as a partner. Before entering private practice, Reddington served for nearly a decade as a senior attorney in the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. During his tenure at the IRS, he earned multiple awards for trial success and contributed to large-case litigation as both a team leader and a team member. His track record includes securing a unanimous jury verdict for a captive insurance manager in a multimillion-dollar penalty dispute, as well as negotiating settlements that saved clients significant amounts. Offit Kurman is a full-service law firm serving businesses, individuals and families across more than 30 areas of practice. The firm operates offices in several states including Texas, New York, Maryland and Virginia.
