James Trundle elected chair of IMAC 2026 executive committee

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) announces its newly elected executive committee for 2026, appointing James Trundle of Global Captive Management (GCM) as chair. Trundle, a vice president at GCM, succeeds Kieran Mehigan of Marsh in the leadership role following the association’s annual general meeting held in George Town on 11 December 2025. The executive leadership team for the coming year also features Michael Wild of Artex as vice chair, Adam Vanicek of Marsh as treasurer, and Joy Domingo of WTW as assistant secretary. Erin Brosnihan of Kensington remains in her position as secretary, while Jenny Pooley of Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) continues to lead the IMAC office. Reflecting the association’s commitment to industry growth, IMAC also confirms the formation of a new Talent Development Committee. This group will focus on workforce development and succession planning, with Troy Matarazzo of Beecher Carlson serving as the committee's inaugural chair. James Trundle says: “It is a privilege to serve as chair of IMAC at a time of continued momentum for Cayman’s insurance industry. Building on the strong foundation laid by the previous executive committee led by Kieran, we will remain focused on collaboration, talent development, and global engagement to support the long-term growth and success of our sector”. Several executive committee members continue in their current capacities, including Gareth van den Bergh of Artex as marketing chair and Michael Wild of Artex as forum chair. Jessica Powell of Aon continues to lead the scholarship committee, while Paul Macey of USA Risk remains chair of the legislative and regulatory committee and Andrew MacKay of Risk Management Advisors (RMA) leads the education and social committee. Since its establishment in 1994, IMAC has represented insurance managers and captive insurance companies in the Cayman Islands. The association acts as a primary link between the sector, government, and regulators to strengthen Cayman’s position as a leading global domicile for captive insurance.
