Kevin Lutz, CPCU, joins PMA Companies as a Senior Underwriting Specialist in its Mid-Atlantic Region. Lutz comes to PMA with an extensive production underwriting background, bringing proven success in building profitable books of business in the mid to large casualty segment. Brandon Walker, Regional Underwriting Director- Mid Atlantic at PMA Companies, states: “We are thrilled to welcome Kevin Lutz, CPCU to PMA Companies as a Senior Underwriting Specialist in our Mid-Atlantic Region. Kevin joins us with an extensive production underwriting background with proven success in building profitable books of business in the mid to large casualty segment. We are excited about what he brings to the team and look forward to collaborating with our clients and business partners, so we can succeed, together!”. Lutz previously held various underwriting roles at CNA Insurance for over three years, most recently serving as an Underwriting Consultant - Construction. During his time there, his responsibilities included Multi-Line P&C Underwriting and risk analysis for complex construction risks, where he determined appropriate pricing and made recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy. Before CNA, Lutz spent over six years as a Commercial Lines Underwriter at the Agency Insurance Company of Maryland (AIC), managing a territory of over 250 agencies for the Virginia commercial auto book. Lutz’s background is focused on P&C underwriting for commercial risks, driving policy growth through sound underwriting, and fostering productive relationships with agents and brokers. His appointment supports PMA's focus on the mid to large casualty segment within the region.
