Singapore-based tech firm FingerMotion has signed an agreement with PT Mach Wireless Teknologi to roll out its proprietary AI-driven insurance risk platform in Indonesia.
The firm says an enhanced version of the platform will be developed to support underwriting for motor, health, and life insurance in Indonesia.
It draws on FingerMotion’s existing work with insurers and its proprietary data technologies to address underwriting challenges in emerging markets.
The company's machine learning models and risk analytics integrate into Indonesia’s telco-insurance ecosystem to help telecom operators and insurers scale personalised digital insurance offerings.
Mach Wireless will help identify suitable local partners, including insurance firms, ride-hailing platforms, and telematics providers.
Martin Shen, CEO of FingerMotion, says the company is finalising a deal with a major telecom provider in Indonesia to accelerate adoption.
“Our entry into Indonesia represents a key milestone in FingerMotion’s strategic expansion across Southeast Asia,” Shen notes.
“By combining our proprietary AI and big data technologies with strong local partnerships, we are creating scalable solutions that have the potential to transform the delivery of digital insurance in emerging markets.”
