A.M. Best has revised the outlook of Eastern Dentists Insurance Company, a Dental Society risk retention group (RRG), from stable to positive.
The ratings agency has also affirmed the RRGs financial strength rating of “B++ (Good)” and the long-term issuer credit ratings of “bbb+”.
The credit ratings reflect a “comprehensive” enterprise risk management programme, “strong” balance sheet and profitable earnings performance, A.M. Best said.
A.M. Best also recognised the RRG’s management team and focus in underwriting medical professional liability coverage for dentists.
The Eastern Dentists Insurance Company provides coverage to dentists in Massachusetts, New York, and North Carolina, as well as in eight other states.
According to A.M. Best, the positive ratings outlooks are based on the “anticipation” that the Eastern Dentists Insurance Company will continue to strengthen its balance sheet.
