Westfield Specialty International has launched a reinsurance division as part of its growth strategy, appointing Chris Gray as divisional director.
Based in London, Gray will report to Jeremy Shallow, chief underwriting officer at Westfield Specialty International.
Gray brings over two decades of underwriting experience in the (re)insurance market, most recently serving as global head of marine reinsurance at AXIS.
His previous roles include senior positions at Swiss Re and Canopius Group, where he oversaw underwriting across marine and energy, casualty, protection and indemnity, agriculture, terrorism, and political violence and risk.
