Hymans Robertson has named Richard Wellard as its new head of alternative risk transfer solutions.
In his new role, Wellard will guide the team in assisting trustees and sponsors exploring emerging risk transfer options, such as superfunds, capital-backed solutions, and alternative insurance products.
The company states that Wellard has been a partner at Hymans Robertson since 2015 and has led some of the most innovative transactions in this space.
Before that, he worked as an actuary at Aon Hewitt. He started his career as actuarial trainee at Atkin & Co in 2002.
