WTW has appointed Hugo Wegbrans as head of Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) Europe and Simon Delchar as global head of placement, both reporting to Lucy Clarke, president of risk and broking.
Wegbrans, who joined WTW in 2021 as head of broking, has played a key role in developing and implementing the company’s global broking platform.
Based in the Netherlands, he will now oversee WTW’s CRB operations across Western Europe, taking over from Anne Pullum.
Pullum will transition to a new role as co-lead of WTW’s corporate development function alongside chief financial officer Andrew Krasner, while continuing as head of WTW’s European geography.
Meanwhile, Delchar steps into the new role, succeeding Wegbrans, to lead placement strategy and execution globally for CRB.
Based in London, Delchar joined WTW last year as head of global portfolio placements and head of broking for the UK.
Clarke comments: “Hugo’s work with WTW’s broking platform has made it easier to service clients, giving them better information about their risks and efficient placement strategies, as well as improving our risk and analytics tools, resulting in better client insights, better market outcomes and greater efficiencies.
“Simon will continue to progress these digitisation and automation efforts, as well as executing on our wider global placement initiatives, transforming our placement process and client service capabilities.”
