Davies expands consulting division with senior appointments

Insurance services specialist Davies has announced a new senior operating structure for its consulting division, appointing Paul Johnson as chief operating officer and Matt Parkinson as chief revenue officer.

The expanded team will report to Pino Vallejo, consulting CEO at Davies, and will be responsible for growing the firm’s consulting offering under four newly created specialist pillars: insurance, capital markets, asset and wealth management, and retail finance and corporate banking.

During his 12-year tenure at Davies, Johnson has led Davies’ Professional Education and People and Organisational Performance practices, including Davies Academy and its apprenticeship scheme.

Parkinson has spent the last 15 years in leadership roles, previously serving as co-head of Davies’ Banking and Markets team. He has over 30 years of experience working for and consulting with some of the largest global banks and financial institutions.

In April 2024, Davies announced the appointment of Pino Vallejo as CEO of its consulting division, further broadening its offering to its insurance, financial services, public sector, and other highly regulated clients.

Commenting on the move, Vallejo states: “Working with Paul and Matt in their respective new roles we plan to ambitiously grow our offering across our four specialist pillars and reach into new geographical markets.

“Their broad range of experience in client service, technology, operations and organisational development will help us cement our growth strategy and deliver an excellent level of service for our clients in the insurance and financial services sector.”
