Bermuda-based (re)insurer SiriusPoint has promoted Anthony Shapella to group chief underwriting officer (CUO) to replace David Govrin, who will focus solely on his role as group president and CEO of global reinsurance, effective from 1 January, 2025.
Shapella, who will become part of the executive leadership team, joined SiriusPoint in September 2023 as deputy CUO from global insurer AIG, where he served as head of Portfolio Analytics, General Insurance.
