Indiana and Massachusetts appoint new Insurance Commissioners

Holly Williams Lambert has been named as Indiana’s next insurance commissioner, while Michael T. Caljouw has been appointed as commissioner of the Division of Insurance in the Massachusetts state government.

Lambert will assume the position on 16 October, replacing Amy Beard, who will be stepping down. She has been working at the Indiana Department of Insurance since 2011, most recently as chief of staff.

Meanwhile, Caljouw comes to the agency with 33 years of industry experience in insurance law and policy, most recently serving as vice president for state and federal government and regulatory affairs at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

The Division of Insurance is overseen by the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation within the Executive Office of Economic Development.
