Aon has named Jennifer Bell as executive chair of North America, following her decision to step away from her role as CEO of North America and retire at the end of 2024.
Lori Goltermann, CEO of regions for Aon, has assumed direct leadership of the firm's North America region, effective immediately.
Bell has held leadership roles at Aon for more than 33 years. Before serving as North America CEO, she was regional managing director for the Central Region, regional managing director for the Northeast Region, and president and chief operating officer of Cleveland.
She also served as founding co-lead of Aon’s Global Inclusive Leadership Council and helped reinforce the firm’s commitment to advancing inclusion.
Commenting on the appointment, Eric Andersen, president of Aon, says: “Throughout her remarkable career as a marine broker, a producer, strategic account manager for global clients, and in senior Aon leadership roles, Jennifer built and developed strong, inclusive teams focused on both delivering the best of our firm to our clients and growth opportunities for colleagues.
“We congratulate Jennifer on her retirement and thank her for the many years of contributions on behalf of our colleagues and clients.”
Bell comments: “For the last three decades, I have had the opportunity to work with incredible Aon colleagues and help our clients solve their greatest needs.
“Aon has proven its ability to lead the industry and deliver more for clients, and I am excited to see the firm’s continued success.”
